Editorial approach
Serelo explores why unwinding can be difficult, what shapes our sleep and what helps us feel rested. We start with questions you might recognise from your own life, then look at what research can tell us.
Follow the question, then the evidence
A late night on your phone or a work conversation you keep replaying can raise a useful question. Personal experience gives us a place to start; it does not prove that an explanation is right.
We link to the research behind substantive claims so you can follow the evidence yourself. We favour original studies and established sources, and explain relevant details such as who took part and what the researchers measured.
Be clear about what we know
A survey can reveal a connection without showing that one thing caused another. A small interview study can help explain an experience without telling us how common it is. Those differences matter, and our writing should make them clear.
We aim to separate research findings from interpretation and practical suggestions. If the evidence is limited or mixed, we say so. A useful idea does not need to become a promise.
Keep everyday life in view
Advice about rest has to make sense alongside work, caring responsibilities, money and the things you enjoy. We offer ideas to consider, with room for different circumstances. There is no single routine we expect everyone to follow.
Serelo provides general information, not personal medical advice or a diagnosis. Articles are not presented as clinically reviewed unless a named, suitably qualified reviewer is credited.
Take responsibility for the finished work
Serelo uses AI tools to assist with research, drafting and design. Their output can be wrong. A generated summary is not a source, and AI assistance does not replace checking claims against the material we cite.
Editorial responsibility sits with Serelo’s founder, Yannick Barriol. The wording, source choices and decisions about what to publish remain Serelo’s responsibility.
Make corrections easy
If you spot an error, a broken source link or a claim that needs more context, email hello@serelo.me with the article and the passage in question. We will review it and correct it where needed. Substantive corrections should be noted on the article so readers can see what changed.
Be open about commercial relationships
Any sponsored content, affiliate link or relevant commercial relationship should be clearly identified where it appears. Readers should be able to tell when Serelo could benefit financially from a recommendation.
